It can take up to five years from concept to delivery but for those who choose to build, the reward is a custom built yacht of epic scale, where even the smallest items are curated and crafted with one just owner in mind. Along the way these clients witness first-hand the talents of those involved while contributing to keeping the ancient knowledge and traditions of shipbuilding alive.
Onsite support for new builds and major refits, from concept to completion
Y.CO provides completely flexible assistance for any client embarking on a build or major overhaul of their yacht. We will assist clients in the initial selection of designers and shipyards and then with specification, contracts and price negotiation.
Once work has begun, depending on which shipyard you select and the level of external advice and coordination required, our project managers can work onsite or remotely. In either case, Y.CO keeps a thorough involvement in the project, representing the owner’s interests at the yard at all times. Y.CO project managers are all qualified technical engineers and with years of experience under their belts, are familiar faces at nearly all major European shipyards.
Projects of epic proportions
Since the launch of our first project, the 90m sailing yacht Athena in 2004, Y.CO has managed, coordinated and advised on the build of several of the largest yachts in the world, ranging up to over 130m.
Today we are proud to be involved in a project at every major shipyard in Europe.
