I arrived in Monaco’s yacht management team the long way round. After working in Britain, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada, the Riviera scores pretty highly indeed. The skiing is awesome, with Auron, Isola and Limone a 90-minute drive from our Port of Monaco office. And the seafood, which is another love of mine…if you’ve ever seen the morning catch for sale in San Remo or Antibes market – then dined out on it for lunch – you’ll understand why. My ideal break from work is still in a yachting vein. I’d love to do a party week charter with friends along the Côte d’Azur, but failing that, kicking back once every four years to watch Team GB in the Olympics is something I never miss.
